Are You Looking For A Powerful And Free Way To Increase Your Chess Rating

Adelaide, South Australia, 2021-May-10 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — Mato Jelic’s Chess School of South Australia offers a free and fun way of improving your game by 500 ELO points.

Chess is a fascinating mind game which has been attracting people since ancient times. It requires a large amount of skill and practice as well as the ability to create and implement effective strategies. If in the past chess lovers used to rely on books for their training, nowadays they have a variety of modern tools for developing their skills and improving their level, including online resources. Free chess videos such as those featured on Mato Jelic’s YouTube channel can teach you how to play chess like a champion in a very short period.

Some people claim that their rating improved by 500 ELO points just by watching Mato’s videos. A couple of comments that make Mato proud of his work include: ‘I don’t usually comment, but you sir have the best chess videos on YouTube. I’ve seen dozens of other teachers, none of them can compare with your style, so you have earned my respect. Keep doing an amazing job.’ and ‘Millions of chess players have watched and benefited from MATO’s chess lectures and analysis on YouTube. His lively analysis has contributed in popularizing chess tremendously. World’s best chess coach ever.’

One of the most amazing advances in a player’s chess level comes from the follower called Rameshwar: ‘I was rated 1100 a year ago but now I am rated 1789 and still improving just by watching the games shown by Mato and analyzing them daily for 1-2 hrs. I even won 2nd place in my college blitz chess fest where some strong players rated above 2000 also participated. Thank you, Mato 🙂 you should be the most subscribed channel in chess category.’
What makes Mato’s videos different from other chess online resources is the fact they are more than chess lectures. Subscribers are pleased to find a lot of life wisdom in Mato’s videos and enjoy the best entertainment due to the Australian coach’s natural sense of humour. One of Mato’s followers recalled in a comment the funny situation when he skipped watching chess videos one day and his girlfriend said: ‘And where is Mato? … I am so much used to hear his voice that it feels he is already part of our family.”

Auditions For The Screenwise Full-Time Diploma Of Screen Acting Open 31st August 2012

The Screenwise two year full-time Diploma of Screen Acting is the first of its kind in Australia. The Government accredited course was established in 2011 after Denise Roberts, CEO of Screenwise and renowned Australian actress (Cliffy, Mrs Biggs, Underbelly Razor, Always Greener, GP) recognised the need for a Screen Acting specific full-time Diploma course.

The diploma focuses on the particular skills and knowledge required for acting on screen, which includes post-production. It provides acting students with intense training and mentorship from some of Australia’s most elite actors, directors and casting consultants. All tutors are current industry working professionals.

On graduation, the diploma offers the students a major industry showcase comprising of a live stage performance and a screen performance presented to invited industry professionals including casting directors, agents, producers and directors who are personally introduced to the graduates afterwards. The graduates showreel, which is shot on location with a professional director, is presented to agents and casting directors at the showcase.

The diploma is comprised of 14 units of core subjects and one elective, giving students the opportunity to excel in their preferred area. The duration of the course is 1,380 hours, delivered in 20 hours per week, over a two-year full-time program.

Based on the ‘Roberts Method’, the course is a mixture of industry experience and professionalism with strong academic elements. Students are exposed to industry working professionals who are in the position to offer them the best and most up-to-date advice available. Current Screenwise tutors include award winning actors, Nicholas Hope, Anthony Wong, Denise Roberts, Terry Serio, Martin Dingle Wall, Rhondda Findleton, Gary Sweet, Road Train director, Dean Francis and multi-award winning director Peter Andrikidis (Bikie Wars, Kings Of Mykonos, East West 101).

With the decline of theatre work for actors in Australia and the increase of quality local film and television productions, acting for screen is a vital skill that all actors should develop. The Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) statistics show that 85% of an actor’s career-long income will be derived from television, which is why Screenwise chose to dedicate their services to providing actors with the specialised skills to not only meet the demands of today’s Film and Television industry but also the opportunity to succeed as a reputable actor both nationally and internationally.

Applicants for the 2 Year full-time Diploma in Screen Acting must be 18 years of age or close to it at commencement date.

Auditions for the diploma course open on the 31st of August 2012 and close on November 15th 2012. Call back auditions will take place early December 2012. Late applications will be accepted subject to availability and will attract a $20 administration fee.

Denise Roberts, founder and CEO of Screenwise, states, “Acting is the easy part…getting seen by the right people? Now that’s hard. We have a plethora of incredible talent here, and Screenwise will continue to do it’s utmost to help that talent make that difficult transition from Domestic to International”.

Meanwhile, the 2011 Diploma of Screen Acting students called it a “wrap” on their first film titled Lovers and Friends. Directed by Stephen Wallace (Blood Oath, Turtle Beach, Twisted Tales) and DOP Ray Argall, President of the Australian Directors Guild. Lovers and Friends is an engaging insight into how relationships entwine and develop in young adults and the complexities that steer and motivate their behaviour. Lovers and Friends is a performance piece that allows the Diploma students the opportunity to delve and explore characterisation on camera, gaining much needed experience working on a professional set with industry heavyweights and a professional production crew.

The 2 Year Full-Time Diploma of Screen Acting is the first of its kind in Australia. The Government accredited course was established in 2011 after Denise Roberts, CEO of Screenwise and renowned Australian actress, recognised the need for a full-time Diploma course specific to screen acting.

For students not ready or available to commit to a 2 year, full-time course, there is the Screenwise Showreel Course. This course is designed for students wanting to take the next step to becoming a professional actor but who are not in the position to attend an intensive course such as the Diploma. The course equips actors with an expert showreel, shot on location by professional directors. A professional showreel is necessary in obtaining a good agent and entry into master intensive casting workshops like those in August with Tamara Hunter.

Local Sixth Formers Give A Lesson In Money Management

A group of economics students from St Aidan’s & St John Fisher’s Associated Sixth Form in Harrogate, took up a challenge thrown down by Yorkshire-based Engage Mutual to help improve local young children’s understanding of saving on Thursday 25 February.

The sixth formers developed and delivered a morning of fun and interactive lessons around saving and money to a Year Two pupil group comprising 73 delighted six and seven year olds, from Oatlands Infant School in Harrogate.

Head at Oatlands Infant School, Elizabeth Robson, commented:

“This project has been an exciting way of giving our children an introduction to the importance of saving and working with money- both vital life skills. It has been great for them to have this delivered by the Sixth Form students in such a fun and interesting manner.”

Part of a wider initiative to improve financial capability, the sixth formers have been improving their own money knowledge, having recently completed a course in their free time run by Engage Mutual at their offices. The course concludes with a challenge for the sixth formers to take an element of what they have learned and communicate it to a younger audience in a fun and interesting way.

Engage Mutual Chief Executive, Andrew Haigh said:

“Where better to start helping families and future generations secure their financial futures, than with children? Working with schools is an incredibly valuable and informative experience for us. We always learn a great deal from the clarity and simplicity that young people can bring to communicating quite complex financial issues.”

Borenson And Associates, Inc., With Headquarters In Allentown, PA Will Be Training Additional Instructors To Conduct The Making Algebra Child’s Play Workshops Nationwide

Since 1990 Borenson and Associates has conducted more than 2500 Making Algebra Child’s Play workshops showing teachers how the visual and kinesthetic approach of Hands-On Equations enables even 4th and 5th graders to succeed with algebraic equations not normally presented until the 8th or 9th grade.

borenson

The instructor candidates, coming from five different states, will be receiving their training at the Holiday Inn in downtown Allentown. The training will take place each day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is expected that a student demonstration will take place each day from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

All of the candidates have used Hands-On Equations in their classrooms for several years and are now coming to learn how to present the program to teachers.

Leading the training program will be Dr. Henry Borenson, who received a U.S. Patent for Hands-On Equations. With this group, the company will have about three dozen certified instructors. Borenson anticipates the need for 100 instructors within the next two years to meet the growing interest in his approaching to simplifying the abstract nature of algebra.

Recently, the company received their first order from Educational Opportunities, Inc. who have set a goal of introducing the program to 1,000 classroom in Africa, Asia and India.

“There is no reason for young students to be intimated by algebra,” says Borenson. “Through this visual and kinesthetic approach algebraic concepts become intuitive and are much easier to understand than division of fractions or long division– and much more fun!”

Borenson believes that when young students are successful with algebra their sense of self-esteem is enhanced. “There is no doubt about the effectiveness of this program,” he says. We have almost ten research studies posted at www.borenson.com to prove it.
