USPS Awarded USCG Nonprofit Grant for America’s Boating Channel

Raleigh, NC, USA, 2022-Oct-25 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — United States Power Squadrons® (USPS) has been awarded a new grant from the U.S. Coast Guard to substantially expand America’s Boating Channel™, USPS’s boating safety and boater education video service.

USPS, founded in 1914, is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization of more than 21,000 members dedicated to the shared mission of making boating safer through education. USPS is America’s Boating Club® – For Boaters by Boaters™. Organized locally into 320 squadrons, USPS provides boaters across the nation with the skills they need to boat with confidence and enjoy the waterways. USPS creates and teaches boating classes online, in person, and on the water, and offers free vessel safety checks (VSCs) to ensure that boaters have safe watercraft.

To advance its mission, USPS operates the America’s Boating Channel video service. Now in its seventh year of operation, America’s Boating Channel is financially supported through a series of grants from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund administered by the U.S. Coast Guard. As part of the Fiscal Year 2023 National Nonprofit Organization Recreational Boating Safety Grant Program, USPS was awarded funding to grow and extend America’s Boating Channel from July 2023 through September 2025.

In acknowledging the grant award, USPS National Educational Officer (NEO) Vice Commander Bill McManimen, SN commented, “United States Power Squadrons’ boating safety and boater education video service, America’s Boating Channel, received awards for being the Top Marine Media Outlet in 2021 and for producing the best PSA Video Series in 2022, but its most meaningful award came in June in the form of increased support from the U.S. Coast Guard. Work on the new grant commenced in July and much has already been accomplished. The new grant will enable us to substantially expand America’s Boating Channel into a mainstream media offering over the next three years.”

America’s Boating Channel is targeting four growth areas.

1) New Video Series
Twelve new titles will be developed, produced, and distributed each year as America’s Boating Channel’s seventh through ninth seasons of boating safety and boater education videos. For Season Seven, video concepts in development since July include border crossing; preventing slips, trips, and falls; partnering in command; disembarking hazards; boating with small children; engine failure causes and cures; towed sports safety; tying dock lines; introducing automatic identification system (AIS); marine radio etiquette; navigating locks; and why wearing a life jacket is cool. Season Seven video scripts are now being written, which will be followed by field production and launch in Spring 2023.

2) Viewership Promotion
America’s Boating Channel will stimulate video viewership with a year-round campaign, including daily posts across multiple social networks and media outlets designed to creatively alert and memorably impress upon the boating public the inherent risks associated with boating, to persuade recreational boaters to adopt safe boating behaviors, and to remind them of these behaviors with creative variations on promotional campaign themes. In addition, the service’s exploration of social media platforms with youthful demographics will be rolled-out as a new promotional program. Since July, the service has promoted Season Six videos and a countdown to the public launch of Inlet Drone Videos.

3) Smart TV
America’s Boating Channel’s smart TV initiative includes the development, launch, and operation of a new free-to-the-user video-on-demand (VOD) app offering boating-themed video content in a format like leading subscription VOD services. A no-cost linear video channel, which will present boating-themed video content on a continuously playing schedule, will supplement the VOD app for a more traditional TV viewing experience. Boating news, sports, and entertainment television programs and motion pictures will incorporate boating safety and boater education videos as public service announcements (PSAs). Technology suppliers and content providers have been participating in the project since July.

4) Inlet Drone Videos
America’s Boating Channel will launch a new service offering based on the video concept tested during its prior USCG grant to prepare recreational boaters for their first sorties into harbors, rivers, and other high-traffic entrances. Inlet Drone Videos will feature low altitude aerial shots of leaving from and returning to major US waterways across the nation with narrative explanations. During the grant period, forty inlets will be covered and a training system with production technical details and processes for participants nationwide to create and submit drone footage for inclusion will be offered. The world premiere of Inlet Drone Videos covering Cape Fear, Haulover, and Columbia River will take place November 5.

An innovative educational framework to help to effectively and permanently increase the creative competence of individuals and organizations

PRAGUE, 26-Aug-2022 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — In the 21st century, creativity is a key skill that people need in business, education and to develop companies. It helps to solve complex societal, social and environmental challenges – and to date, it has not been used enough. Therefore, an international team of experts from six European countries, led by the Czech team, has created a new, innovative method that changes existing procedures in problem-solving, education and teamwork. Called the Kinetic Method, it can be used by non-governmental organizations in youth work and adult education, or to explore solutions to social problems, such as racism or social exclusion. But it can also be used by companies for team building, or by universities.

The authors presented the results of their work in a new book: The Kinetic Method – A Playbook for Solving Problems. Developing this method took them 10 years of work, and the European Union Erasmus + programme financed the publication of their results.

The Kinetic Method can be used, for example, by the managers of social or educational organizations, social and youth workers, learning facilitators or coaches working in team building – anyone dealing with developing team performance, personal and professional development, and creativity for problem solving, innovation and resilience.

The Kinetic Method aims to become a well-used and sustainable tool. The authors state that this innovative framework will help to effectively and permanently increase the creative competence of individuals and organizations – and that this creativity can be learned. They view creativity as a learning outcome rather than a characteristic or personal trait.

“The Kinetic Method allows youth workers to support not only young people to develop their creativity so that they can more easily find a life path and a job. It boosts the development of creative skills and self-confidence, offers educators a way of reaching socially excluded young people, contributes to the preventing intolerance and fights against the radicalization current in Europe,” says co-author and senior trainer, consultant Zora Csalagovits from Hungary.

What makes the Kinetic Method and the book unique?
The Kinetic Method uses functional creativity to enable groups of people to work together while pursuing their goals and progress at work. It demonstrates how to increase the value of contributions in groups and boosts the ability to solve complex tasks. It consists of a set of practices related to skills, mindset and environment. It is not merely creativity itself, but creativity that is directed towards a common purpose or goal that is meaningful to society.

Whenever you are working on something that is important to you, you need to think creatively. “We have divided the approach to learning how to be creative into skills (the basic competencies that people use in creative tasks), mindsets (attitudes that are necessary for developing persistence and good habits in creative practice) and environment (the context of creativity), which can make or break our creative endeavours and our ability to collaborate creatively). In this way, we talk about embedding creativity in how we approach new things, how we think about ourselves and how we collaborate with others,” Karolina Iwa from Poland, social innovator, intercultural psychologist and co-author, describes the method.

The book The Kinetic Method – A Playbook for Solving Problems summarizes the history of this methodology, a collection of methods and activities, and provides a description of methods in each of the nine chapters, with easy-to-follow instructions. This variety also reflects the different life experiences of the co-authors. One of the most difficult tasks was learning to ask good questions, which surprised the authors during their research. Often individuals are so driven by the search for answers that they forget the whole journey of the question itself, they say.

“This methodology supports creative action by building basic competencies in how to think and approach a problem right from the start, how to develop the necessary internal characteristics for building these skills and co-create an environment in which all participating members of the community can be creative,” confirms Mariana Marques, director of YUPI and trainer from Portugal.

Why is the method called Kinetic?
Kinetic means ‘relating to or resulting from motion’. “The word kinetic, for us, was about transforming people’s potential into a real action. Taking the creativity that is inside each of us, and finding a way to activate it. We wanted to think of creativity as something you can learn and also learn to direct or control when you need to,” explains American social scientist working in the UK, consultant and co-author Tracie Farrell. The authors, she says, wanted to demystify the idea of creativity as something that you are either born with or not, a talent you have or don’t have, and show people how it is really a collection of skills, mindsets and environmental features that make up creative action. “In a world full of very complex problems, we need everyone to contribute useful and interesting ideas. We wanted to help people gain the confidence to be able to do that,” says Tracie Farrell.

To develop the Kinetic Method, the authors collaborated with 100 users, one of whom was lecturer and manager Aneta Bednářová, director of the non-profit organization Genesis from the Czech Republic. “I have been training people who work with children and youth and management in the non-profit and private sector all over the world for many years. Their projects have a social impact. But they are often a group of enthusiasts who have not, however, mastered management or leadership skills. The Kinetic Method is an interactive form of informal education, which can be applied when working with children, team building, strengthening working relationships and solving personal problems. It binds the team together and clearly defines roles – and as a result, the team works more efficiently,” concludes Aneta Bednářová, who coordinated the entire project.

The project partners:
Genesis Czech Republic, YUPI Portugal, TE-IS Hungary, Youth Garage e. V., Associazione Interculturale NUR and MODE, move & develop foundation

Millionaire Life Strategy launches its new course “Advanced Sales Master Class”

Millionaire Life Strategy launches its new course “Advanced Sales Master Class”

VOORSCHOTEN, The Netherlands, 15-Oct-2020 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — Millionaire Life Strategy, a business and mindset sales training and coaching organization out of Netherlands, announced today the launch of its new course “Advanced Sales Master Class,” to show left-brain, overly analytical introverts, technology gurus and shy business owners how to move past the limiting beliefs and other obstacles blocking their professional growth to become sales experts that grow businesses exponentially.

“Technology experts tend to hide behind their keyboards to change the world, while others make money from their inventions. I’m teaching the “Steve Wozniak’s” of the world how to think like the “Steve Jobs” of the world so that they can launch their business ideas with success from the day they open their doors until the day they sell their businesses for millions of dollars or more.” says Erwin Wils, business strategist, mindset coach, and the mastermind behind Millionaire Life Strategy.

Technology has changed the world and will continue to do so. Technology experts are creating these new technologies and marketing gurus position it. Now is the time to change that and let the tech experts take control of their own business.

“There are a lot of presuppositions about nerds and geeks. People tend to think they’re introvert, terrible in building relationships, can’t sell, nobody understands them, because they speak “geek”, don’t like to be in the spotlights and somehow, most technical experts tend to start acting like that image. I’m here to change that and show them it doesn’t have to be that way. It’s all about mindset,” says Wils. “The moment tech gurus start understanding how to communicate their genius in terms laymen can grasp, that’s the moment they start to become that all-round entrepreneur that will take themselves and their business to the next level.”

Wils is a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, has worked in the corporate world for over 20 years in different roles, always on the edge between technology and business. He also thought others were more successful than him, until he started working on his own mind. Now he is showing other technical experts they can change as well by means of coaching and training.

The Advanced Sales Masterclass covers:

  • Mindset strategies to uncover each participant’s unique hidden sales genius
  • The art of the sale
  • Mastering the art of objections
  • How body language can make or break your sale
  • Negotiation mastery

“All technical experts know how to sell,” say, Wils, “They just don’t recognize it as selling. This training gives them the blueprint for sales success and the confidence to become the rainmaker they always wanted to be.”

Millionaire Life Strategy also offers custom coaching programs for technical experts, ranging from 3 months to a full year, using the EMPOWERR © methodology as an umbrella.

Top Tips to Become a Grandmaster

Professional Chess Coach and Author Mato Jelic Shares Top Tips to Become a Grandmaster

Adelaide, South Australia, 2018-Apr-29 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — Becoming a Grandmaster is a coveted dream for all chess enthusiasts around the world, but not all of them can make it. Successful coach and popular author Mato Jelic has recently discussed how to become a Grandmaster.

Mato Jelic, a highly experienced professional chess coach and the author or two chess books, has recently shared useful tips to help chess enthusiasts in their pursuit to become a Grandmaster. Mato is the founder of one of the world’s most popular YouTube channels related to chess, through which he offers free online chess lessons.

The World Chess Federation (FIDE) has its own set of guidelines and requirements for becoming a Grandmaster. The players must attend official FIDE tournaments and clinch top positions on at least three occasions to qualify for the process. They should continue to attend such competitions known as norms, until their score reaches the 2,500 mark.

Improving his or her chess skills is undoubtedly the foremost requirement for anyone to become a Grandmaster. According to Mato, this can be accomplished by following the tips mentioned below.

  • Learning the tactics: These are the move sequences that can put a player in an advantageous situation and defend or capture pieces. Forks, discovered attacks, and pinning are some of the most important tactics in the game of chess.
  • Knowledge of strategies: Once a player reaches the advanced level, they must have a core strategy for each match. Mato also stresses on the importance of strategies such as Nimzo Defense, Sicilian Defense, spacing strategies, and many others.
  • Proper execution of endgame situations: A clever endgame strategy is extremely important because a poor endgame can very easily spoil all the previous good work.
  • Regular practise: Any aspiring Grandmaster must practice as often as possible against top level players with a thorough understanding of the advanced tactics and strategies. Mato recommends joining a chess club or popular chess sites such as Chess.com

In addition to mastering chess skills, Mato mentions that the different personality traits of an individual can make a serious impact on his or her chances of becoming a Grandmaster. “Ultimately, Passion, inherent talent, competitiveness, discipline, along with a supportive environment, can make all the difference between success and failure,” he says.

A resident of Adelaide, South Australia, Mato is the founder of Chess School SA, a training school that offers chess classes throughout the Adelaide Metro and across the Country Schools in South Australia. He also runs many popular training programs for kids.

Middle School Students Unplug from Electronics for A Week-Long Montessori School Retreat

Baltimore, MD, September 18, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — During their second week of school, Greenspring Montessori School adolescent students lived unplugged from cell phones, television, and computers for a truly immersive outdoor learning experience. The Adolescent Community – a group of 8 students ages 12 to 14 – traveled to Echo Hill Camp on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay for a week-long school retreat. They built campfires in a survival class, explored the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem by boat, participated in team-building challenges, and slept outdoors under canvas tents. Accompanied by their instructors, Christina Soares-Heffner and Elliot Dickson, the students learned so much about the natural environment and about themselves.

Christina emphasized, “Each activity, including no flushing toilets and outside showers, challenged and stretched our adolescents into growing and learning in new ways.”

Outdoor learning is a key element of Montessori education, and a major focus at Greenspring Montessori School. The Adolescents’ retreat is a key part of the upcoming year-long study of the natural environment. As part of their Occupations and Humanities studies, the Adolescents have also established a relationship with Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, MD. Several days a week, the class travels to the park to conduct field experiments, hold naturalist seminars, and partner with naturalists to learn more about the area.

From Luca: Scanoeing, swamp canoeing, was my favorite activity even though I fell in up to my knee in mud! Luckily I was wearing a pair of rubber boots! When putting on our live vests, we spotted several frogs, which we observed. We also saw a rare ribbon snake who had just shed. It was a gorgeous day on the canoe. One of my favorite activities was seeing the beaver lodges, which Seth, one of our guides, told us about. There were also many beautiful American lotus flowers that everyone thought was cool.

From Zoe: I think that the sleeping situation at Echo Hill was fun and exciting. We got to sleep on tent platforms with canvas to really experience what it is like to sleep outside. We had mosquito netting over our beds and got to ensure the sound of a rainstorm one night. It was nice being able to bond and get closer to the people in my tent. The bathrooms and showers were interesting. I have never taken an outdoor shower before, and I definitely prefer to shower indoors with curtains. Not having flushing toilets was unique, however next year, I’m bringing Febreeze.

From Augie: Echo Hill’s survival class taught me how to control myself in a survival situation. I learned how to construct a fire and and gather the right materials for a shelter. I also learned the importance of food and water and how to scavenge for it. Overall it was an exceptional experience. Even though everything is a challenge, moving forward I feel more confident in a survival situation!

From Franklin: During our great four days at Echo Hill, we were challenged by the pathfinder. The pathfinder is a rock wall with a cargo net and a rope that you have to climb to reach the trapezes at the top. The pathfinder allowed us to overcome our fears of height, tested our strength, and helped us work as a team. To make us work more as a team, we all had to belay each other. It was amazing to see everybody attempt to reach the top. Some of us were scared, and would get stuck in certain spots, but we all helped each other reach our goals. Another thing that the pathfinder taught us was to create goals. Everyone created and accomplished goals, and even created new ones for next year when we return. Overall the pathfinder was a great and really fun learning experience.

From Willow: The bay studies class was fun and informative. We learned a lot about the water and how it is being polluted. We learned about all the types of creatures that live in the bay. For example the eel. We learned about the different parts of fish. We also got to kiss a rockfish which was pretty cool and funny. We got a chance to touch the eel, and learn about how they nest and reproduce. It was really cool touching the eel. It felt kind of like a snake, but slimy. We learned about the water’s colors and how we see different shades of blue, green, and brown. Captain Annie took a clear glass and asked us what color we see in the water. Some of us said brown, and some of us said green. She filled the clear glass up with water and we all saw clear water. We also learned about the blue crab. We learned that a crab can last 48 hours out of water, how it gets oxygen, and how it can detach its claws from its body when in danger.

From Garrick: Orienteering at Echo Hill was very fun. We started talking about the parts of a compass and how to find north. Next, we were given a specific bearing, a direction, and then had to align our compasses correctly. Finally, we got to make our own maps of any any we wanted and each map included a key, compass, and legend. Overall, I had a really great time in my orienteering class, hosted by Mr. Cole, and am looking forward to going back to Echo Hill next fall.

Negotiator Steven Riznyk discusses how Ashley Madison could help save your relationship

San Diego, CA, September 14, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — People clutched their proverbial pearls when the Ashley Madison scandal hit the news last month. Hackers released the identities of 37 million account holders on a website dedicated to facilitating extramarital affairs. Simultaneously, a resounding chorus of male voices practicing their alibies echoed into the stratosphere. Meanwhile, scorned women poured themselves a glass of Pinot while plotting their revenge.

Despite the larger-than-life nature of the event, it had severe consequences including marital disputes, divorce filings, job losses and even suicide. To avoid further damage, Steven Riznyk, producer of Relationships901, provided insight into repairing damaged relationships.

“If your name was released in one of the 79 countries affected and your partner is aware, giving up is not the only option,” Riznyk said.

According to Riznyk, using a site like Ashley Madison is not the primary problem, but a symptom of something else. The first step in recovery is discovering what that ‘else’ is.

Common reasons that people resort to cheating are a lack of self-esteem or sexual satisfaction, boredom with their partner, or a sex addiction.

“The cause that is most prevalent is that the relationship they are in broke down to some degree and they don’t feel wanted, loved, needed or appreciated,” Riznyk said.

A Fox News study revealed that 7 percent of men who cheat do so for sex, while 48 percent sought an emotional connection.

“Clearly, the cheating isn’t about a better looking person,” Riznyk said. “It’s about the new connection and what it means to the cheater.”

For some, unveiling affairs could be the best thing. It provides the opportunity to discuss grievances and come to a resolution. The majority of relationship breakdowns occur due to insufficient communication.

“Events occur and neither partner brings them up,” Riznyk said. “At some point, one partner may do something that takes the relationship past the point of no return.”

Additionally, partners should create a plan to execute their promises.

“What was missing in the relationship has to be present and the partners have to design a way of making that a reality,” Riznyk said.

Patience and empathy are essential in this process as repairing a relationship is easier said than done.

“All people hear through their own filters, so communication is difficult even under the best circumstances,” Riznyk said. “I can’t stress enough how important it is to listen and try to understand the spirit of what the other person communicating.”

Steven Riznyk
is a high-level negotiator and the author ofRelationships901.com, a 6-hour streaming program that shows people how to resolve relationship problems in a week using his conflict resolution model. At least 25 percent of the net profits from the sale of the program will go to Mr. Riznyk’s charity, the Black Tie CEO Club, in order to pay veterinary bills for abandoned and abused dogs.

Can You Pass the Civics Test That Those Seeking Citizenship Must Pass?

Asheville, NC, June 29, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — Newly released Civics Handbook presents you with the information and the test to examine your own civics proficiency, and provides a study tool assisting children, adults and all students to learn the material. And while learning, you might be inspired to visit and see where some of U.S. history unfolded as Historic Sites, Places, Parks, Battlefields, Sites of Remembrance and National Treasures are listed in the book. Americana A Civics Handbook Second Edition was released June 20, 2015 (ISBN# 978-1514221563) by Mary B. Mackley of Asheville, NC.

There has been an increased frequency and an almost urgent drumbeat of stories reporting a lack of knowledge of Civics and American History in our schools. Even comedians have highlighted this issue while embarking in random questioning of adults in various settings. When quizzed about American History and Civics….the answer given may be incorrect (and pretty funny), but the point is made…there’s a knowledge deficit and room for improvement! While this may seem amusing at first, when you really think about it, it’s not so funny.

Our Sixteenth President, Abraham Lincoln, said…”I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any National crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts…” This book brings you the facts. The Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights; facts about Early America, the Original Thirteen Colonies, U.S. Presidents, the fifty states, National Symbols, U.S. Wars and more are included. Facts presented will help you have more understanding of the questions and answers on the topics covered by the civics test. Over 50 pages of historic sketches add an additional visual dimension in appreciation of our history.

Mary B. Mackley, a nurse for 30 years, embraced the role as teacher in working with her patients throughout the years. Her passion for History and Civics was formulated in her youth, in AP History classes through St. John’s University, and the time she spent providing interpretive guided tours and programs at a National Historic Site during and after college.

The book is available at Amazon, or through the website below. For more information about Americana A Civics Handbook Second Edition and the author, please visit www.civicshandbook.com. You can contact Mary B. Mackley at (828)606-7263 or civicshandbook@aol.com.

Chad Lieberman From 6W Teaches SEO: PPC vs. Organic Marketing

New York City, NY, February 26, 2015 — /EPR EDUCATION NEWS/ — Chad Ian Lieberman, the lead Search Engine Optimization (SEO) specialist at 6WSEO, today announced the release of yet another of the company’s awesome SEO trainings on Pay per Click (PPC) marketing versus organic marketing.

The training aims at giving businesses insights on why they should opt for search engine optimization for their business websites, as opposed to going for PPC marketing upfront.

“Unlike PPC, SEO offers a long term traffic solution to a business. With PPC, your traffic stops coming in as soon as your pockets run dry. Of course, if you have very deep pockets, you can go with PPC solely. But it is advisable to take advantage of organic traffic from the search engines because it is easily achievable, keeps flowing for the long term, and is very affordable”, said Chad.

Although the SEO process takes time for the results to be visible, Chad advises that it is the best option if what a business seeks are long-term solutions to its web traffic and visibility problems. Organic traffic is timeless and once it starts coming in, it does not stop. The only time it may stop is if the foundation of your SEO campaigns was not on the right pillars, or if you used black hat techniques to achieve your rankings. These reasons may get your site dropped in the rankings or banned altogether when the search engines update their algorithms.

“For new businesses websites, one may opt to go for both SEO and PPC simultaneously. The PPC brings in instant traffic to the website so that you can kick start the business’ web traffic as you wait for the SEO efforts to yield results. However, as soon as your organic traffic kicks in, you should switch off the PPC campaigns. In any case, the organic traffic, if targeted right, should bring in buyers who help you recover/compensate the PPC costs used”, adds Chad.

The Learning Genome Project unveils a new solution to personalized education through crowd sourcing

Educator Kelly Tenkely invites educators, parents and investors around the world to join in personalizing education.

Due to an increased disenfranchisement with the education system, Colorado educator, Kelly Tenkely, recognized the need for a product that would honor the uniqueness of children by personalizing learning. Kelly created the Learning Genome Project to fulfill this need.

“Every child deserves to be met right where they are in learning, rather than expected to fit a one-size-fits-all solution. In our society, we have managed to customize everything from ringtones to coffee, why should learning be different?” Said the Learning Genome Project creator, Kelly Tenkely.

The Learning Genome makes personalized learning available to children around the world by:
* Gathering information about an individual child including: their unique interests/passions, learning style preferences, multiple intelligence strengths, brain dominance, and maturation level.
* Crowdsourcing the tagging of both free, as well as premium, education resources and curriculum with hundreds of learning attributes (the ‘genes’ of learning).
* Matching resources and curriculum to students, recommending the materials that best meet their needs and creating a custom learning map for each child.
* Utilizing an open API so that schools, parents, and districts can build additional functionality to meet their specific needs.

This is the Learning Genome Project’s free “hub” that makes personalized learning available to every child.

Said Kelly, “Every child, regardless of their economic situation, deserves an education that is tailored to them. Society benefits when we help kids learn how to best utilize their unique gifts and passions.”

Premium features of the Learning Genome Project will include:
* A student information system
* An e-portfolio
* A teacher and student planner
* Blogging tools
* An e-learning center
* An individual learning map for each child

The premium features will work seamlessly with the Learning Genome hub giving students, teachers, and parents a complete solution to personalized learning.

The Learning Genome Project is seeking crowd-sourced funding through Indiegogo and will use the $85,000 raised to begin programming. The project has 45 days to raise the funds and can be found here: http://www.indiegogo.com/thelearninggenomeproject?c=home&a=1232629

In addition to her work on the Learning Genome Project, Kelly Tenkely is an educator, a prolific education blogger, and created a new educational model. This model is put into practice at Anastasis Academy, a school that Kelly co-founded that is just beginning its 2nd year in operation.
